Hi, I’m Todd! I’m the Owner and Lead Accountant at The Tax Center. My father started this business in 1993 and I worked alongside him since 1995. Now, I carry on his legacy by serving my clients with the care and respect my father taught me. I am honored to be helping the grandchildren of my clients from 1995!

How It All Started
1992
The Tax Center was Founded by Ronald Kirchenberg (Todd’s Dad!).
1995
Todd begins working alongside his father while studying accounting at UW-Milwaukee
2003
Todd and his father bought a Jackson Hewitt Franchise in Milwaukee. The Tax Center continues providing bookkeeping, payroll, and business taxes.
2004
The Tax Center is growing and started bringing on additional staff including more family members.
2008
Surpassed 1000 tax returns prepared in a single year!
2016
Todd’s father retires unexpectedly after a heart attack.
2017
Todd takes his father on a Veteran’s Honor Flight. We proudly support the honor flight and continue to donate to this organization as well as the Wisconsin Humane Society, and local food pantries.
2019-Current
Todd’s Jackson Hewitt location is recognized as the top 50 in the Nation out of more than 6,000 locations.
2020-2021
The Tax Center is thriving with 97% Customer Retention and our family team members celebrating 10 years with The Tax Center!
